 prof.dr. M. (Michiel) KleerebezemPrincipal Scientist NIZO food research BV Michiel Kleerebezem (1964) studied Biochemistry at the University of Groningen and obtained a PhD from University Utrecht in 1995. Currently he is employed as a principal scientist within the Health Department of NIZO food research. Since 1998, a part of his time has been dedicated to research performed within TI Food & Nutrition where he has been involved in projects related to lactic acid bacteria molecular biology and (meta)genomics and host-microbe interactions in the human gastrointestinal tract. Since 2007, Michiel Kleerebezem holds an position as Professor in “Bacterial Metagenomics” at the Wageningen University. << back to overview |
