M.Sc. degree in Genetics & Molecular Biology from the State University of Londrina (UEL), Ph.D. degree in Plant Sciences from the Federal University of Parana (UFPR) and Post Doc in Plant Sciences work on cell wall feruloylation at Rothamsted Research (UK). Currently, he is a researcher at Embrapa Agroenergy. He has experience in Genetics and Plant Physiology with emphasis on molecular biology, especially in the following areas: energetic biology and plant genetic transformation, mainly in sugar cane. He carried out and participated in several projects, involving physiological tolerance studies to biotic and abiotic stresses and identification and characterization of genes, promoters, etc. aiming at the expression in planta of hydrolytic enzymes.
