 D. (Derek) ButlerHead of Genome analysis and technology Department BaseClear BV Derek completed his bachelors degree in Biotechnology at Dublin city university in 1995, specialising in Genetics and Immumology. He continued his study at University College Cork and in 2001 received his Doctoral degree for work on the genetic regulation in lactic acid Bacteria. In the same year he took up a post-doctoral position at the University of Groningen where his work focused on the identification of novel enzymatic activities from thermophilic bacteria. He joined BaseClear in 2006 and is currently head of the Genome analysis and technology Department. << back to overview |
