 Dr. C.H.M. (Coen) SmitsManager Nutreco Ingredients Research Centre Nutreco Research and Development Coen Smits studied Animal Science at Wageningen University in The Netherlands. After finalising his PhD in Animal Nutrition at De Schothorst Institute in Lelystad, he joined Nutreco R&D in 1997. Nutreco is an international company in animal nutrition and fish feed. Since 2009, he is manager of the Ingredients Research Centre. The R&D department is responsible for sourcing, development and evaluation of novel feed ingredients. The Nutreco IRC utilises various genome-based assays to evaluate the efficacy and mode of action of functional feed ingredients. This work is done in close cooperation with leading universities and institutes. << back to overview |
