 dr. A. (Arvind) KapurCEO Rasi Seeds Ltd., India Dr. Arvind Kapur holds his Ph.D in plant biochemistry from Panjab Agricultural university Ludhina. Served as associate professor in Plant breeding dept for eight years. Joined Pioneer seed company in 1988 which is renamed as Proagro seed company in various capacities. Became the GM of joint venture between Proagro and PGS Belgium which is further acquired by Hoechest-Agrevo and than Aventis and finally by Bayer. He became the Managing Director of Nunhems India, a vegetable seed company and established this company as one of the leading vegetable seed company in India. Also he established research activities for vegetable seeds in Asia as Head of research APAC for Nunhems Holland. In 2009, he joined Rasi Seeds as CEO of their vegetable division. Dr. Kapur was part of the team for promoting Agri- biotechnology in India and served as Secretary General of seed association of India for five years. Furthermore, dr. Kapur is on the board of GFAR ( FAO) and served in the technical committees of APSA. Member of the vegetable seed committee of ISF. << back to overview |
